Tim Beckwith, PGA Master Professional
  --  Director of Golf




One of about 400 PGA Master Professionals in the world, Tim Beckwith is a skilled instructor and author of The Front Nine, a book about golf and life lessons. Born in Detroit, Michigan and raised in Brooksville, Florida, Tim has worked in Orlando, Clearwater, Chicago, and Nashville. He holds an associate’s degree in communications from St. Petersburg Junior College and studied accounting at the University of South Florida. As Director of Golf for The Oaks Club, Tim has received several awards including “Professional of the Year” for the North Florida PGA Section 2012, NFPGA Southwest Chapter “Professional of the Year” 2011 & 2013 and "Merchandiser of the Year" for the North Florida PGA Section 2010. Tim lives in Sarasota with his wife Jill and son Jackson. 
Ian Wenzel -- PGA Professional -- Head Golf Professional 

Ian comes to The Oaks Club after serving as Assistant Golf Professional and Merchandiser at The Country Club of Louisiana, a private, member-owned facility in Baton Rouge. He was recently recognized as the 2016 Gulf States PGA Section “Assistant Golf Professional of the Year." Ian brings a tremendous background in member service and leadership through his experience working at many first-class facilities and learning under some of the PGA’s most distinguished Golf Professionals. His passion for understanding the golf swing and motor learning has helped Ian achieve many certifications in different areas of the game. Ian is a Certified Trackman Level 2 Professional, Titleist Certified Club Fitter, True Temper Certified, and a Gravity Fit Certified Golf Coach. Prior to CCL, Ian worked at Sara Bay Country Club, The Country Club of Oxford, and Waterlefe Golf and River Club. He currently lives in Bradenton with his wife Grace.
 Shari Lindsey, LPGA Professional -- Head Teaching Professional

A respected golfer, triathlete, coach, and tournament coordinator, Shari Anne Lindsey has spent the past two decades helping competitors and amateurs improve their golf skills. Since 1992, Shari has been a proud LPGA member and has participated in numerous tournaments and continuing education seminars. As an Assistant Golf Professional at The Oaks Club, Shari offers private, group and playing lessons and organizes various clinics and golf schools. Originally from Marion, Indiana, she has lived in the Sarasota area since 1992.
